Easy Crusty Italian Bread

EASY CRUSTY ITALIAN BREAD

Here's any easy recipe for yummy bread without paragraphs about why I love bread. It's bread. I love it. The End. BTW this only makes one loaf.

prep time: 10 minutes

cook time: 30 minutes

rise time: 2 hours 45 minutes

1 1/2 cups warm water

1 tablespoon dry active yeast

3 1/4 flour

1 tablespoon salt

How to make it:

Combine water and yeast, whisk and let bubbles form with your yeast

Add salt and give it a quick whisk

Add flour and fold in with a spatula. Do not overstir - you want it to look lumpy.

Cover with a damp kitchen towel for two hours at room temperature

After two hours take the dough out of the bowl and place onto some parchment paper that has been lightly dusted with flour

Add slightly more flour if needed to shape the bread into a round loaf. Score with a knife two or three times and let it rest for about another 45 minutes

Preheat your dutch oven at 450 degrees for about 30 minutes before you'll add the bread dough

Place parchment paper and dough into the dutch oven and cook with the lid for 20 minutes. Remove the lid and continue cooking for another 10 minutes

Let rest before cutting into it for about 30 minutes

Tada! You've got some yummy bread. Making bread is super simple but can be frustrating. If you over mix it, it won't be as filled with bubbles. Sometimes the dough is too wet, sometimes it's too dry - you just have to trust your gut. And incase you didn't know, your gut wants warm yummy bread.

If you make it, tag me on IG so I can see!
